2023 Annual Scientific Meeting of the British Society of Neuradiologists

28 -29 September 2023, Edinburgh

The registration system was being updated over the weekend of 12th and 13th August. Apologies to anyone who was affected,

Please note that abstract submission has now closed.

This is the most important meeting of the year for the society and last year, the meeting attracted 180 registered neuroradiologists – consultants and trainees, diagnostic and interventional.

This year, we will again be running a small parallel educational session targeting neuroradiographers covering all aspects of neuroradiography including plain film, CT, MRI, interventional radiography and radiography-led research. A new feature will be a satellite advanced neuroimaging masterclass programme immediately preceding the ASM on 26th and 27th September; this is aimed at neuroradiology senior trainees and consultants and will replace the trainee days from previous meetings.

The event will open with a drinks reception on the evening of 27th September and the ASM will take place over 28th and 29th

The meeting will follow the format of previous years with invited speakers and presentations from society members and trainees. One new feature will be a joint diagnostic and interventional mini-symposium on management of acute stroke.

We have a distinguished faculty of local, national and international speakers including Prof David Nutt (Imperial College London and CRO of Awaknlifesciences), Dr Tom Oxley (Mount Sinai, NY and CEO of Synchron), Prof Daniel Rückert (Munich and Imperial College London), Prof Marion Smits (Rotterdam), with additional international faculty sponsored by American Society of Neuroradiologists including Prof Claudia Kirsch (Yale).

The meeting will be held at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. This is an excellent venue for our annual meeting with outstanding facilities to accommodate our audience and scientific presentations.

6 CME points are available for attending each day of the ASM.

BSNR Advanced Neuroimaging Educational Masterclass

Edinburgh is delighted to be hosting the first BSNR Advanced Neuroimaging Educational Masterclass

This will be an opportunity for senior radiology trainees, and new or established consultants looking to increase their skills in advanced imaging, to interact with experts and gain practical insights in a number of modalities including perfusion imaging, DTI, MR spectroscopy and functional MRI which are increasingly used in specialist clinical neuroradiology practice.

The sessions will be supported by a distinguished faculty of experts, with speakers from the UK, Europe and the USA.

The Masterclass will be held on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th September 2023 at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, immediately prior to the main BSNR ASM.

9 CME points are available for attending the full Masterclass.
